Day 1
Arrival to Almaty. 20 min Drive to Medeo through Ablay Khana. Excurtion around Medow and lunch at the traditional Kazakh yurth. Cultural show during the lunch. After lunch excursion around Kok Tobe. Transfer to hotel.
Day 2
This day you will experience the Almaty, old capital of Kazakhstan sightseeing which is historical, cultural, beautiful, green with colorful flowers and biggest city with mild climate. Central Museum, Park Panfilove Historical Museum of Traditional Musical Instrument, and Green Bazaar just next to the Park Panpilov, a great bazaar for locals. Transfer to hotel (BLD)
Day 3
At 9 a.m. start to Big Almaty Lake, 2.5 hours drive, which includes a visit to the mud stream check dam in the canyon of the river Bolshaya Almatinka bearing the traces of the last mud streams. The rock-dammed Mountain Lake is located in the forest area of the National Park “Ile Alatau” 2511 meters over the sea level with maximum depth 35 meters and temperature of water in summer 10-12 degrees. The Program includes a visit to the Observatory, seeing of the picturesque environs. After lunch we will head to see Falconry Show by bus and visit a jewellery maker to see the handmade jewelleries and experience Kazakh tradition with the family in Kazakh traditional yurt. Dinner at the yurt and transfer to hotel. (or Stay overnight in Kazakh traditional yurt for small group).
Day 4
Arrival in Uskemen at 13 am. City tour.
Day 5
Transfer to the airport. 07:20 in the morning flight is at 09:20 DV725/825 to Bayan-Ulgii via Uskemen. On arrival at Ulgii town of Bayan Ulgii province by flight from Ust-Kamenogorsk our guide and driver will meet you at the local airport and will head to ger camp in Ulgii town. Afternoon will have short excursion by the province center including visit to local market. Overnight and dinner at local ger camp.
Day 6
This morning we will drive to Tsambagarav Mountain. On the way we will stop by Tolbo lake. This lake is formed by the deep depression of the high mountains surrounding the area, which form part of the Altai Range, towering at a height of 2080 m. in some areas. There are many different species of birds inhabiting on the lake and two main species of fish – Osman and Grayling. We will have picnic lunch by the edge of the lake. After lunch we will drive up to our picturesque campsite with an amazing vista of the surrounding steppe and the snow-capped peak of Tsambargarav Mountain. Have dinner and rest. The surrounding hills are quite striking for hiking enthusiasts. Overnight will be in tented camp.
Day 7
Today day of leisure. Tsambagarav is one of highest mountains of Altai, its peak is in 4193m above sea level. In the morning we will have walk in leisure in the surrounding hills. In the afternoon we will visit local nomadic family to experience their life style. Meals and overnight at tented camp.
Day 8
This morning we will head to Khovd town. In the afternoon we will reach Khovd town and camp by edge of Buyant river. In the afternoon we will drive into the town and will visit local market. Tented camp.
Day 9
Today you will take local flight to Ulaanbaatar. The flight takes 3 and half hours. On arrival our driver and guide will meet us and transfer to hotel. Evening in leisure. Dinner at the local restaurant.
Day 10
Today will be a full day of sightseeing in the city. We will start at the Buddhist Monastery, the largest in Mongolia, Gandan Hiid. We will also visit the National History Museum. In the afternoon there will be time for some shopping and purchasing of souvenirs. The evening program will be of a local concert featuring Mongolia music and dancing followed by a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 11
Transfer to the airport for your international departure.
