TERBISH
Story about me… been in travel for far too many years. Love it and wouldn’t change it for the world. Love where I live. Love the high mountains and open vast steppe, deep forest and blue lakes. Love horses, galloping through the steppe and eagles, praying high in the sky, and … lizards – the ancient creatures of the world.
As a head of ecotourism department at Mongolian National University, I love to say to my students: “Love our mother Nature, love every single piece of it and it will love you back!”

I am a culture vulture and wildlife nut, which is why Great Genghis was founded together with people with same spirits.

BATAA

I am a nomad by birth and by heart. Travel is my destiny. As a fate of many Ulaanbaatar’s boys I’ve continued my education after high school until I’ve finished my PhD. But soon after I realize that travel makes me truly happy. So, I am a happy person, who combined teaching at University and traveling the rest of the time. I spend 3 summer months in the countryside, leading our groups and I enjoy every day of it.

Every group is unique, so I learn new things from everybody.

URNAA
After teaching Russian and later English to school kids, I have turned to tourism industry once and forever. I love every second of it, no matter what I do – leading the tour in the countryside during the summer or spending almost whole winter abroad at different travel shows around the world. I like to meet new people, to open new destinations, to discover the world for myself and share it with others. But wherever I am, I love to be back to my family and friends. When I have spare time, which I don’t have much, I love to…..

GEREL

I go to the trips as much as office work allows me. I wish I could go more, but I do enjoy office work too. All the logistics I do need so much attention to every single detail, so it suits my character and every successful trip with happy clients makes me really happy as well. My passion is cooking and I like go to our trips as a cook to show clients my culinary skills. Mother of two children and two grandchildren, I teach them to love the nature as it is – untouched and unspoiled. I am very happy to work at Great Genghis.

JAGAA

I completed my degree in Tourism Management and been in travel since 2005. I traveled to 18 provinces in Mongolia out of 21 in my 24 years now. Cooking is my passion since my very early age and that brought me to tourism, working as a cook on the trips. Born in western part of Mongolia, between high mountains of Altai, I found love of my life – the Gobi desert. Half a year I spend in the desert camp, 24 hours a day taking care of our guests’ needs.

My dream is to explore the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar.

I love the outdoors and adventure especially hiking and camel riding.

ARIUNAA
Having grown up with “nomads” and I started in travel in 2004 after working in hospitality field for years and gaining great experience.

I became Product Manager in 2007 and have loved every minute of it. I get to learn more about the products we deal with, as well as the vast variety of new products just waiting to be discovered, while at the same time learning about the more intricate “behind the scene” workings of the company. I have traveled to many small, quirky towns within Mongolia and over-the-border to USA and England. I plan to see a lot more of Mongolia.
